At Thrive Therapy, we specialize in providing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions. We are a team of highly skilled and experienced BCBAs who work closely with each child to develop personalised treatment plans which address their unique needs.
We aim to achieve outstanding outcomes for EVERY child, through age appropriate play.
WE SUPPORT YOUR CHILD TO THRIVE!
Thrive Therapy's BCBAs provide a learning space full of joy and comfort, enabling your child to thrive.
Applied behaviour analysis (ABA) is the application of behavioural principles and strategies to teach new skills related to independence, education and safety, and to improve quality of life. For example, a session may involve breaking a skill down into small teachable steps, using positive reinforcement to embed each step along the way. Using ABA, we will implement individualised goals in areas such as play, communication, vocal language, imitation, toileting and much more.
Thrive Therapy offers high quality ABA within our clinic. All of our sessions are carried out through age appropriate play, meaning there's lots of laughing and smiling whilst learning is happening!
When we first begin working with a child, we spend time creating a positive relationship with them, ensuring to always maintain and nurture this rapport. Rapport can sometimes be built very quickly (within the first session) or it may take up to 3 sessions, depending on the child. This foundation is essential to have in place, as the child will be much more motivated to come to ABA sessions and engage.
We then gradually begin to incorporate goals and objectives through play based activities. Empathy, understanding and compassion are always at the heart of our ABA sessions.
Firstly, a BCBA is a board certified behaviour analyst. All of Thrive Therapy's BCBAs go through a rigorous selection process which includes a background check, subject matter expertise evaluation, practical assessments, and interviews with our senior team. As a minimum, all of our BCBA's must hold a MSc qualification and be certified by the Behaviour Analysis Certification Board (BACB).
Yes, Thrive Therapy accepts both clients who are using insurance to pay for our services, and clients who wish to pay privately.
